A new exceptional ally joins the growth path of EU4Youth2Act: the European Youth Parliament Italy, part of the largest European network dedicated to active youth citizenship. This new synergy stems from a shared desire to promote youth participation, social innovation, and active citizenship, with the common goal of offering young people tools, environments, and concrete opportunities to make a positive impact on their communities.
What is the European Youth Parliament?
The European Youth Parliament (EYP) is one of the largest European platforms dedicated to the exchange of ideas among young people, promoting intercultural dialogue and active citizenship.
Founded in 1987, it is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit organization with over 30,000 active members in more than 40 European countries, all aged between 15 and 25.
The organization works to bring young people closer to European decision-making processes through parliamentary simulations where democratic dialogue is practiced and participants work in committees, just like in real EU institutions. Everything is organized by young people, for young people, with special attention to accessibility, inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
European Youth Parliament Italy is the Italian section of the European Youth Parliament.
A Regional Session in Florence in 2025
In 2025, Florence will host the Regional Session of the Italian Committee of the European Youth Parliament (EYP Italy) from October 16 to 19.
The chosen theme, “Culture and Innovation: When Art meets Technology”, aims to celebrate the city’s extraordinary cultural heritage while looking toward the future, innovation, and the role of new generations in building bridges between tradition and progress.
During the event, 100 young people from all over Europe will engage in structured debates on current issues, in true European parliamentary style: committee work, simulated political discussions, and a plenary assembly.
The project has already received sponsorship from the Municipality of Florence, the Metropolitan City, the Chamber of Commerce, the University of Florence, and is also moving forward with the Region of Tuscany.

The Connection with EU4Youth2Act
The collaboration proposal between EYP Italy and the Tuscany Sustainable Foundation is born from a strong alignment of values, visions, and objectives.
Within EU4Youth2Act—a project co-funded by Erasmus Plus that aims to create Social Innovation Hubs to foster youth leadership in social, environmental, and civic fields—the involvement of the European Youth Parliament represents a valuable opportunity to enrich the educational content and expand the network of active young people in the area.
Specifically, EYP Italy will participate in pilot sessions of the training course planned by the project, contributing feedback and concrete proposals to improve its effectiveness. It will also serve as a strategic channel to involve other young Italians in the activities of the Hubs and in local and European-level social innovation labs.
Youth as Drivers of Change
With this new collaboration, EU4Youth2Act strengthens its mission: to create spaces where young people’s ideas can turn into concrete actions, where participation means building a more sustainable, fair, and inclusive future—together.
We are excited to welcome the European Youth Parliament into our network and look forward to starting this shared journey. In the coming months, new opportunities will be launched to join the Social Innovation Hubs—we invite all interested young people to follow us and take part!
