From April 14th to 16th, 2025, the Transnational Training for Youth Workers took place online, bringing together youth workers from across Europe. This training, part of the EU4YOUTH2ACT project, aimed to strengthen civic, social, cultural, and personal competences of youth professionals through the exchange of innovative methodologies and collaborative digital tools.
The training was coordinated by Citizens Act (Cyprus) and involved the participation of several project partners:

Day 1 – Welcome and Initial Presentations
The first day focused on introducing the training agenda and the core objectives of the EU4YOUTH2ACT project. Following an ice-breaking activity, participants were introduced to the digital tools to be used throughout the training, including the project’s online platform and mobile app. A key highlight was the presentation of the Social Innovation Labs concept, designed as spaces for practical experimentation and social innovation within the project. The day concluded with an overview of the training materials.
Day 2 – Civic, Active, Cultural, and Social Competences
The second day was dedicated to presenting the training to youth workers on four key modules:
- Module 1: Civic Competences
- Module 2: Active Citizenship Competences
- Module 3: Cultural Competences
- Module 4: Social Competences
Each module included a presentation of the methodologies used, followed by participant feedback and discussion. These sessions encouraged the exchange of good practices and the appreciation of cultural diversity in the context of citizenship education.
Day 3 – Personal, Interpersonal Competences and Youth Empowerment
The final day focused on the remaining modules:
- Module 5: Personal Competences
- Module 6: Interpersonal Competences
Participants were also introduced to the Empowerment and Civic Engagement Programme, a core component of the EU4YOUTH2ACT project aimed at equipping young people to actively participate in their communities and in European civic life. The training concluded with an evaluation session, certificate distribution, and a collective wrap-up involving all partners and participants.
To summarize, the Transnational Training for Youth Workers was a unique opportunity for intercultural learning and European cooperation. Through participatory and human-centered methodologies, participants strengthened their roles as change-makers in the youth sector. This training marked an important step in building collaborative networks across Europe and fostering active citizenship among young people.
