COSSAN joins EU4YOUTH2ACT

The EU4YOUTH2ACT project has become a hub of partnerships and collaborations, with a strong presence in Tuscany and through wider networks. Since the project started, we have been able to connect with several other organizations, fostering new relationships that emphasize both social responsibility and active participation in the region.

One of the notable partnerships that emerged from this project is with CO.S.SAN, the Senegalese Community of Santa Croce sull’Arno (Pisa), an association that has long worked to promote integration, social cohesion and active citizenship among Senegalese migrants and their descendants. Their participation in local mobilities and actions organized by EU4YOUTH2ACT highlights their commitment to supporting youth empowerment and intercultural dialogue. Together with the Municipalities of Santa Croce, Montopoli, and other local organizations, they are working to address socio-economic challenges and improve the opportunities available to marginalized communities.

From this experience, CO.S.SAN had the idea of creating a project on the topic of integration into the European Union, concerning young people coming from conflict-affected areas such as Ukraine. The project is in the conceptual stage, but we hope this will be another opportunity to strengthen partnerships in the region and internationally.

This partnership goes beyond just local initiatives, creating a powerful network of cooperation. The EU4YOUTH2ACT project is helping to catalyze collaborations with various institutions such as the Fuochi Di Prometeo Association, Rock City, the University of Florence, the Lupi Santa Croce and the Mestieri di Toscana, among others. We also collaborate with organizations that share the common goal of supporting youth participation in civic life, promoting vocational training and fostering social inclusion.

By engaging in this multi-stakeholder collaboration, the EU4YOUTH2ACT project is laying the groundwork for future partnerships. Each partner, from educational institutions to community organizations, contributes to strengthening the fabric of European society through local and international actions. This project has proven to be a vital platform for building lasting partnerships that aim to empower young people and create an inclusive and dynamic society.
